Our All Out For Cricket in the City raised a fantastic £40,000.

Thursday 12th September saw The Sick Children’s Trust host an afternoon of live cricket sponsored by Lebara, at the exclusive Honorary Artillery Company in Moorgate, London.

The Sick Children’s Trust Team included former England Cricketer and Strictly Come Dancing Star Mark Ramprakash, former England Cricketer and Jamaican-born speed demon Devon Malcolm.

Batting first, the Authors’ team, with members including novelist and author of Birdsong Sebastian Faulks and ex New Zealand cricketer Iain O’Brien, put in a storming performance, giving England stars Ramprakash and Malcolm work to do.

The Sick Children’s Trust team was up next, with Ramprakash and Malcolm supported Les Misérables star, Tim Downie and James Bond actor Colin Salmon who dusted off their cricket whites. Sadly, the task proved too much and the Authors XI won by 17 runs.

With Lord Jeffrey Archer umpiring and a special guest appearance by Anita Dobson, the event was a star-studded celebration of cricket in aid of a special cause, raising a fantastic £40,000.
