Thinking about providing accommodation for the families of sick children who are being treated far away from home?
Well, The Sick Children's Trust has now been providing 'Home from Home' accommodation for the families of sick children in hospital for over 25 years. Our mission statement below sums up what we believe:
To provide high quality 'Home from Home' accommodation for families whose children are receiving hospital treatment for serious illnesses. The Sick Children's Trust exists to support and promote the child’s recovery and further to support the fabric and wellbeing of the family as a whole. In carrying out this mission it will ensure that the highest standards of service are applied throughout.
Our accommodation varies across the different 'Homes from Home' located at 7 different sites across the UK. As well as comfortable family bedrooms each house has a fully equipped kitchen; spacious communal lounge; and good quality dining areas and bathrooms.
We do not charge for this service, it is all completely free, and The SCT prides itself on maintaining first class facilities for all those who use it.
