Help us Raise The Roof in Newcastle!
Crawford House, our Home from Home at The Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, just isn’t big enough – and we need to raise £470,000 to provide a much needed third storey extension.
The extension is vital if we are to keep pace with growing demand for accommodation for families from across the North East. By adding seven bedrooms, bath/shower rooms and a lounge we can achieve this - enabling us to support up to 350 additional families of sick children every year.

The move follows a major reorganisation of children’s health services in Newcastle which will see a brand new specialist children’s hospital opening at The Royal Victoria Infirmary in 2010 when the total number of paediatric beds will rise from 142 to 229.
Our House Manager Gail Stonley says; “Crawford House is already full on many nights each week. We often have a waiting list of families with very sick children desperate to find somewhere to stay. In future, many more children from across the north of England will travel to the new hospital to receive the specialist treatment they urgently need, so extra space is essential.”
We do not receive any government funding and rely on voluntary donations, so to raise the £470,000 needed to build the extension as well as the money needed to keep the charity going on a daily basis is no mean feat!!

Buy a Cube Campaign . . .
To extend Crawford House we need to completely refurbish 23,400 cubic feet of the building at a cost of £470,000. To help us ‘Raise the Roof’ you can buy a cube of new space!
Standard Cube - £20 buys a cubic foot and you will receive a special personalised certificate for your part in supporting this exciting appeal.
Bronze Cube - £100 buys five cubic feet and your name will be added to a special online donor register as well as receiving your very own personalised certificate.
Silver Cube - £500 buys 25 cubic feet and you’ll receive the above, as well as being added to our special in-house register at Crawford House.
Gold Cube - £1,000 buys 50 cubic feet and you’ll receive the above, plus a personal invite to our opening Gold Event at Crawford House.
Platinum Cube - £5,000 buys 250 cubic feet and you’ll receive the above, plus your name will feature on a plaque permanently displayed in Crawford House.
