Our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign has been a resounding success, raising an incredible £86,633—surpassing our £82,700 target. Your generosity and support of our ‘Homes from Home’ have made this possible.
From 3–10 December, donations to our ‘Make Sure No Child Faces Hospital Alone’ campaign were match-funded by our amazing champions at the Reed Foundation, enabling us to reach and exceed our goal.
What Your Support Means
Thanks to you, the funds raised will provide more than 250 families with free stays in our ‘Homes from Home’ over the festive period. These homes, located just minutes from their child’s hospital bedside, provide a welcoming space filled with comfort, support, and the reassurance of being close to loved ones during critical times.
Your contributions make a real difference for families like James Mills and his son Hudson. James shared their experience:
“We desperately searched for hotels in Newcastle before The Sick Children’s Trust and their Crawford House ‘Home from Home’ came to our aid, providing us with a place to stay just minutes away from Hudson’s ward, at no cost. It was such a lifeline for us, as travelling from home every day would have been impossible.”
