Together at Christmas brings the festive sparkle

With 500 guests, celebrity readings and show-stopping performances, the 2025 edition of ‘Together at Christmas’ was truly uplifting

On 3 December 2025 an audience of 500 filled the beautiful St Marylebone Parish Church in central London for our Together at Christmas carols concert. It was another unforgettable night of music, readings and festive joy in support of our ten ‘Homes from Home’, raising more than £20,000 to help keep families together when it matters most.

Guests enjoyed an enchanting programme of seasonal performances, including vibrant sets from The Funny Bones trombone quartet, the ever-popular London Show Choir, the delightful Toffee Bear Choir from Grimsdell, Mill Hill Pre-Preparatory School, and the inspiring musicians of Chimes for Children, who performed original songs written by children themselves. Acclaimed coloratura soprano and long-standing ambassador Christina Johnston returned with another breathtaking performance that perfectly captured the spirit of the season.

Our celebrity readers added extra sparkle to the evening. Proud ambassadors Tim Downie, Alice Beer and Jen Pringle were joined by Jenni Falconer and Rochelle Humes, each delivering thoughtful festive readings that resonated warmly throughout the church.

One of the standout moments of the night came courtesy of our wonderful President of 38 years, Michael Crawford CBE. Taking to the front of the church alongside the London Show Choir, the West End and Broadway icon gave a captivating reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas’, accompanied by beautifully arranged backing vocals that drew huge applause from the delighted audience. His appearance was a highlight for many and a truly special moment in this year’s celebration.

As in previous years, the London Show Choir and the adorable Toffee Bear Choir joined forces for a joyous collaborative performance, a tradition that once again brought smiles to faces of all ages.

The evening also offered a poignant reminder of why events like this matter. Family speaker Ian Bowyer shared his moving reflections on the role our Rainbow House ‘Home from Home’ played while his daughter Evie received treatment for Crouzon Syndrome at Great Ormond Street Hospital between 2008 and 2017.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the night such a success: our performers, readers, volunteers, and every guest who joined us and donated so generously. We are also deeply grateful to Reverend Canon Dr Stephen Evans for his continued warmth and hospitality in welcoming us back to St Marylebone Parish Church for an evening that truly captured the meaning of Christmas.
