Watch: What your support really means to families in crisis

Discover how your generosity gives families comfort, hope and a place to stay close to their seriously ill child when it matters most.

Every day, almost 300 babies and children are admitted to intensive care in the UK. Behind each admission is a family whose world has been turned upside down.

At The Sick Children’s Trust, we provide a lifeline during these moments of crisis – a place to stay just minutes from a seriously ill child’s hospital bedside.

Our ten ‘Homes from Home’ support thousands of families every year with a warm bed, a hot shower, and the reassurance of being close to their child when it matters most. But we can only continue this vital work with your help.

The difference your support makes

To show the powerful impact of your support, we’ve partnered with renowned creative agency Wardour to produce a moving new short film. It features a family who knows first-hand what our support means.

When baby Harrison was diagnosed with pneumococcal meningitis – a life-threatening inflammation around the brain and spinal cord – his parents, Lulu Trask and Will Fisher, were given a place to stay at Guilford Street House, just moments from Great Ormond Street Hospital.

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Wardour for creating this powerful film.

Please take a moment to watch, share, and if you can, donate. Every gift helps more families stay together during the most critical moments.

Thank you.
