Volunteering With Us

Volunteering with The Sick Children’s Trust is a great way to develop your skills and meet new people from all walks of life. We are always looking for helpful and reliable volunteers, no matter how much time you have to spare.

Ways you can get involved

  • Fundraise locally: Volunteer in your local area with a fundraising bucket collection, cheque collection or bag pack in your local supermarket
  • Support our ‘Homes from Home’: Assist with practical projects in one of our ‘Homes from Home’, such as gardening, plumbing and decorating
  • Help with administration: Assist our team in our London Head Office or at one of our ‘Homes from Home’ with various administration tasks
  • Support our events: Cheer on our supporters at various challenge events, like the London Marathon or Great North Run
  • Support local events: Help out at one of our local events around the country

Current Volunteering Opportunities

Fundraising and Awareness Stall Volunteer

Hours: 5 hours (10am-3pm) once a month
Location: A designated stall at the Royal London Hospital- Whitechapel, London (Closest ‘Home from Home’- Stevenson House)

We are looking for volunteers to help and support us at a dedicated stall at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, which is stone’s throw from our ‘Home from Home’ Stevenson House. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute towards raising vital funds and awareness of The Sick Children’s Trust in their local community.

Gardening Volunteer

Hours: Few hours once a week/fortnight. Any time Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 4pm
Location: Newcastle or Cambridge

If you have a general interest in gardening and some knowledge of plants, you may be interested in this volunteer role to help maintain a garden area at one of our ‘Homes from Home’.
