Eckersley House was originally opened in 1984 at St James’s Hospital following a bequest of Robert Eckersley, the late husband of Dolores, father of Mark, Julian, Louise and stepson Simon. The Sick Children’s Trust would like to thank the Eckersley family for the founding of the original Eckersley House and Dolores Halpern (nee Eckersley) for her support of this ‘Home from Home’ at Leeds General Infirmary.
