On Friday 20 September 2019 we held our annual Golf Day at The Addington, Croydon. The event was a huge success and raised £10,020 which is enough to support a family for 334 nights in one of our ‘Homes from Home.’
The day began with coffee and bacon rolls on arrival and the opportunity to practice on the putting green outside the Club House.
After a short briefing for the day, the teams made their way to their beginning tees for an 8.45am shotgun start. Each team played 18 holes of golf on a challenging but rewarding course.
Around the course were varying challenges. There was the opportunity to beat the pro and win a prize, and to play nearest the pin. Refreshments were waiting for our teams in the Halfway Hut and players had the chance to purchase more mulligans and raffle tickets.
Back at the Club House teams enjoyed a two course lunch with wine and prize giving. Our winning team, runners up, nearest the pin winner and best individual score were announced, each receiving a prize.
A huge thank you to all our teams who took part in the day without which we could not have reached our total of £10,020.
