B&Q Foundation kindly donates redecorating works to Eckersley House

We are incredibly grateful to the B&Q Foundation for carrying out £5,000 worth of redecorating work at Eckersley House.

We are incredibly grateful to the B&Q Foundation for carrying out redecorating work at Eckersley House following a successful application for a grant to have the work completed.

Our Leeds ‘Home from Home’ had a makeover in November when all the hallways, corridors and bedrooms were redecorated using the £5,000 grant.

Thanks to their support and generosity our ‘Home form Home’ will continue to be a warm, welcoming and comforting place to all the families we support while their children are seriously ill at Leeds Children’s Hospital. Sam Haley, Head of Operations in the North said:

“We rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters to keep all our ‘Homes from Home’ supporting families when they need us. This grant from the B&Q Foundation and the work they have completed is so important as it’s allowed us to make sure that Eckersley House continues to be a warm and relaxing environment for the families after a long day on the ward.

As part of their support the B&Q Foundation made this video to showcase the difference their support and Eckersley House makes to our families. Watch the video to hear more from Sam as well as Jane McHale, Eckersley House Manager and mums Louise and Chelsea.
