Premature parents’ neonatal moments – World Prematurity Day 2021

As part of World Prematurity Day on 17 November we asked premature parents to share their most standout moments while on the neonatal wards.

We’ve joined forces again with Bliss and other charities to generate awareness about the experiences of families with a premature baby as part of World Prematurity Day on 17 November and we asked them to share their Neonatal Moments.

When a child is born premature there is no time to plan and parents tell us that all they want is to be by their child’s hospital bedside.

Every year, we give around 600 families with a baby, many who have been born premature, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) one less thing to worry about by giving them a place to stay, free of charge just minutes from their child’s bedside.

We asked some parents to share their most stand out moments while on the neonatal units. With their baby experiencing a lot of ups and downs during this time, read about their most pivotal moments below:
