Great North Run 2020 Cancelled

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Great North Run 2020 has been cancelled.

If you have a charity place please contact us to discuss your options and read below how you can still help us to be there for families with seriously ill children in hospital.

The Great North Run 2020 may be cancelled but you can still put your training to use and continue to support The Sick Children’s Trust by taking part in our event ‘My GNR’.

It’s easy to take part, here’s how:

  • Decide where your challenge will take you by mapping out your own 13.1 mile course around the streets where you live
  • Or calculate how many laps of your local park you have to complete to add up to 13.1 miles
  • Or work out how many laps or lengths of your garden or balcony will be a half marathon
  • After that, continue to promote your fundraising page to your friends, family and colleagues to let them know that you’re still training!

However you run the My GNR challenge, you’ll be supporting The Sick Children’s Trust.

If you have any questions please contact the fundraising team by email.

It costs The Sick Children’s Trust £30 to support a family for one night. £30 gives a family so much more than just a roof over their heads when their child is in hospital. £30 gives them someone to talk to, and a calm place to rest with their family.
